You've heard it said that men are tough to buy for. Even when asked by my wife what I want for my birthday, I usually take forever to figure out a response. I'm so grateful for the Men's Modern General Store. It's the perfect solution for this problem. Now you don't even need to ask me what I want. Just walk into the Men's Modern General Store and get literally anything. It's all perfect. It's just what I wanted. 🙂
We went in today for the grand opening, and had a blast! My husband and son were both really excited as they looked around and picked out some things. Very cool idea with great execution!
Beautiful store I could spend hours in just for the aesthetics... But I love the products they have. Focus on real craftsmanship products, local or USA sourced. Love it all and will be regular for many products.
They have some awesome fixed blade and folding knives including Spiderco knives which is cool to see. The handmade fixed blades are pretty high quality. One of the only places I know where you are able to hold them and get a feel for them before you buy. If you are into carrying or collecting pocket knives and watches, I would check this place out. You can even hang out and play pool or chess.

Such a cool place! Met the guy who seemed to be the owner, and he was awesome. Super knowledgeable and inviting. Just went in to browse on a Sunday afternoon and ended up getting a few things, and honestly surprised I didn't get more. They have so much cool stuff!! Will definitely be back

My husband has been following their social media for awhile and we have been in twice to purchase goods. These are among the friendliest small business owners and most helpful! I stopped in today and had a great experience. I drove in from Olivette, and it was absolutely worth the 30-minute trip. They have a well-stocked selection of beard oils, and I also picked up a book while I was there.
My husband and I finally got a chance to check this place out! We enjoyed their His & Hers Bourbon Tasting Class and what an EXCELLENT experience it was! This couple has brought their dream to reality and we’re looking forward to visiting it again soon! Go check it out!!! You won’t be disappointed!!!
One of the friendliest, cleanest, and most organized store that cater to men. They sell missouri made bourbon and spirits plus other thing for the man of the house.
I went in earlier today not expecting too much but I was very surprised at their selection of items they had in stock! The store brings a type of comfort I’ve been looking for since I’ve moved here to Missouri a couple months ago. If you’re into edc gear such as knives and olights then I highly recommend checking this place out! They also specialize in bourbon, colognes and facial hair kits such as creams, oils, and combing kits. I look forward to providing future business with the owners as they were very welcoming and helpful in any questions I had for them!
I can’t recommend this place enough! If you like knives, flashlights, watches, and other quality edc items, this is your place. If you love bourbons, men’s grooming products, bbq spices, and even leather goods, this is your place. Micah creates a warm, inviting atmosphere as soon as you walk through the door. It’s more than just another store. He has remembered my previous purchases. He has remembered details about my life and kids that I’ve shared. Things like that truly make a difference. An Amazing Find Right Around the Corner! I came across this place thanks to a TikTok video, and had no idea it was so close to home! My wife and I decided to check it out today, and we were both blown away. From the moment we walked in, we felt incredibly welcomed. The store has everything a man could need! Pocket knives, BBQ rubs, beard oils, waxes, balms, and even Bourbon! It’s like they’ve curated the ultimate collection of essentials for any guy. What really stood out to me, though, was that it's a family-owned business. The owners were super friendly, making the whole experience even more special. It's clear they take pride in their shop and care about their customers! I was genuinely impressed, and I’ll definitely be back soon. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and check it out!
What a great, warm, welcoming place. Carefully curated inventory with the enthusiast in mind. Staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Great community outreach and incredible choices on inventory. Super happy to have this in town now! Worth a visit!!

Enjoying the day with my husband and we came across the general store. We didn’t know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. They offer a solid selection of various items and we both found things we “had to have.” Great set up. Owner is friendly and knows each product well. You won't feel rushed. They actually encourage you to take part in the comforts provides. Pool table and chesa boards huge win for taking the sons, relaxing, talking and eventually picking up quality items for myself and friends. Men’s Modern General Store in Cottleville is an outstanding place for men’s grooming products, spices and rubs, knives, and unique gifts. The store has a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere with a great lounge area that includes a pool table where you can hang out and relax. They also host Men’s Night on the first Friday of every month along with other fun community events that make it more than just a shopping stop, it’s a place to connect and unwind. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the selection is top-notch. Highly recommend checking it out

Micah has a vision and he has brought it to life. They sell quality EDC items. They know their target audience, and they know the quality of customer they appeal to. I love the old time feel of the store, yet you can tell you are in a modern atmosphere. It is definitely a gentleman's clubhouse.

For only being open a few months, this place has an AMAZING selection of items. It's like walking into your favorite EDC website, but you can touch and feel everything they have. A great selection of very well made goods that you'll definitely walk away with something. Micah is very personable and easy going. Makes you feel at home and loves to talk shop. Make the drive, give this place some business, because this is the kind of place men need; offline, in person, hands on.
