Frank's Custom Pens - 30 Cal Mesquite Pen

About this item

Frank’s Custom Pens: 30 Caliber Bolt Action Pen in Texas Mesquite with Brass

A handmade bolt action pen turned from Texas mesquite by Frank, a pen maker from St. Charles County, Missouri. This 30 caliber pen is designed after a classic bolt action rifle, with a working bolt that extends and retracts the tip and a rifle-shaped pocket clip to complete the look.

Mesquite is a tough, dense hardwood that grows across the Texas range and is famous as a favorite wood for smoking brisket. As a pen, it shows off a warm reddish brown color, swirling grain, and natural character marks that make every piece unique. Polished brass hardware brings out the warmth of the wood for a rugged, Western look.

It takes standard Parker style refills, so finding a replacement is easy and you can choose the ink and point size you prefer.
