R3 Development

R3 Development empowers young people in East St. Louis through meaningful employment, education, job training, leadership development, and mentorship. By helping youth build practical skills, confidence, and a strong support network, R3 is creating better economic futures while revitalizing the community one life at a time.

Men’s Modern General Store in Cottleville, Missouri, is proud to feature R3 Development as our November and December Nonprofit Spotlight. Based in East St. Louis, Illinois, R3 Development creates equitable opportunities for young people through paid employment, education, job readiness training, leadership development, and mentorship. Programs such as Careers Academy YouthBuild, the Summer Work Academy, and its Pre Apprenticeship Program help participants gain practical experience, develop confidence, earn industry credentials, and prepare for successful careers.

R3 Development also strengthens East St. Louis through housing rehabilitation and neighborhood revitalization. Young people receive hands on construction experience while helping restore homes, improve neighborhoods, and invest in the community where they live.

Throughout November and December, Men’s Modern General Store is supporting this work through our Big Ticket Holiday Raffle. Customers can purchase tickets for a chance to win a McNees knife valued at $595, with all raffle proceeds benefiting R3 Development and its mission to respect dignity, restore integrity, and revitalize community.
